ALBAWABA - At least three people were killed and several other were wounded in an attack on a hotel in Afghanistan's capital, Kabul, according to news reports.

The attack on the hotel frequented by Chinese businesspeople occurred on Monday afternoon in the heart of the Afghan capital, where the blast was heard kilometers away across the city. 

Thick black smoke billowed over the Longan Hotel following the explosion, which sent jitters across the neighborhood. Taliban security forces rushed to the scene, sealing off the area. ISIS later claimed claimed responsibility for the attack, according to AFP

AFP maintained that the Italian non-governmental organization Emergency NGO, which operates a hospital just one kilometer from the blast site, received 21 casualties, including three people who were dead on arrival.
