As a result, Dubai Customs succeeded to realize several achievements and contribute to the economic growth of Dubai, as the volume of customs transactions of the accredited companies in 2007 increased by 16.5 per cent year on year. The imported goods also increased 27 per cent year on year, while the total customs duties rose by four per cent, with the most prominent achievements was the improvement in the overall credit guarantees (company guarantees), which achieved an increase of 72.8 per cent.
