Seventeen inmates died and eight others were injured in a fire at the largest prison in the Algerian capital, the country's official news service reported Wednesday.
An initial investigation showed that the fire Tuesday night at the Serkadji prison began after a 19-year-old inmate clashed with prison guards, the APS news agency reported. (Albawaba.com)
