13 bodies found in Mosul

13 bodies were discovered in and around the northern city of Mosul, the U.S. military said Friday, bringing the total nuber of corpses found in the area in the past week to 35.

11 of the 35 have been identified as members of the Iraqi security forces, The AP reported.

U.S. soldiers patrolling Mosul and nearby Tal Afar on Thursday morning located nine bodies on the western part of the city. Two more bodies were found in the city later in the day.

In Tal Afar, one Iraqi National Guard soldier was found dead. A second body was discovered in a different location.

The military late Thursday had reported the discovery of another two bullet-riddled bodies in western Mosul.
