Ten people were killed when a Russian cargo plane crashed on Saturday after taking off from a military airport near Moscow, defense officials were quoted in reports as saying.
The four-engine Il-76 cargo jet was taking off from the Chkalovsky military airport, about 20 miles northeast of Moscow, when it went down, the Defense Ministry duty officer told The Associated Press.
