An Algerian official said Al Qaeda-linked gunmen shot dead two teachers and eight police escorts in an ambush attack near the capital. According to him, the teachers were bringing high school exam papers back from the town of Timezrit, when their car was hit by a roadside bomb.
According to Reuters, the driver and the manager of Timezrit's exam center were hurt in the explosion. The gunmen then sprayed the cars with bullets. The attack took place late Tuesday.
