Horizon Development announced its upcoming participation at the Jordan Economic Forum 2008, which will be held under the patronage of H.M. King Abdullah Bin Hussein II at the Dead Sea, from the 2nd to the 3rd of March, 2008 - acknowledging the major role that the JEF is playing in highlighting the exponential development which the Kingdom of Jordan has experienced at both economic and social levels.

Established and chaired by Sheikh Bahaa Al-Hariri as a property investment and development group, Horizon has been actively building up an unmatched portfolio of properties for development, both in Jordan and across the Arab region, in line with its corporate vision and its deep-rooted commitment to pursuing an active role in contributing to shaping the region’s future.

Sheikh Bahaa Al Hariri, Chairman of Horizon, commented on the company’s participation at the Forum by saying: “Our participation in Jordan’s Economic Forum is in line with our corporate strategy and our commitment to contribute to the economic advancement of Jordan in line with His Majesty King Abdullah’s vision of an open and modern Kingdom that is a regional role model for economic and social development.” Sheikh Bahaa also added: “Our dedication to the prosperity of Jordan stems from our corporate vision that aims to carry forward the legacy of my late martyred father, who believed that by delivering on our promises and through our will and dedication, we can contribute to making the dreams of the region’s people a reality.”

One of the major projects that Horizon is building in Jordan is Abdali, the new Downtown of Amman, currently underway in partnership with Mawared and Kipco. In itself, the Abdali project is a living example of Horizon’s vow to continue to set new standards of excellence in providing quality living and lifestyle, by creating environmentally sound urban havens, while maintaining harmony between structure and nature.

It is worth mentioning that Horizon, as special sponsor of the JEF 2008, will showcase to JEF visitors the complete new Abdali Downtown model alongside luxurious developments in Lebanon and the region, revealing its unique vision and corporate aspirations to the region’s business leaders. The projects’ display will give audiences the opportunity to take an up-close and personal look at the landmark developments of the company.

Jordan Economic Forum 2008 is organized by Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal Group in cooperation with the Jordan Investment Board and is expected to draw more than 800 high profile participants from the region including business leaders, financiers and investors, representatives of the international organizations and CEOs of leading international and regional corporations.
