ALBAWABA- Antonio Guterres, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, has voiced profound apprehension regarding the unprecedented number of casualties observed in the Gaza Strip. 

He underlined his deep concerns regarding the evident violations of international humanitarian law occurring in the region.

Moreover, Guterres highlighted a significant challenge in the capacity of the Rafah crossing to handle the aid trucks of the necessary size, potentially impacting humanitarian assistance to Gaza.

Guterres also noted an alarming trend of escalating tensions spreading from Lebanon and Syria to Iraq and Yemen. 

He stressed the urgency of halting this increasing escalation to prevent further instability in the region. 

Gaza's situation continues to be of immense concern, with ongoing intensive aggression and ground invasion of the Israeli occupation forces on the besieged Gaza Strip since one month ago.
