Decision Makers, a new TV channel based in Dubai targeting a niche Arabic audience, has announced the start of its trial run (Tuesday, August 1st), mainly addressing Arab investors and the business community, and presenting news, reports and analysis on politics, business and real estate.

Decision Makers will also focus on the contribution of Arab businessmen to society and their role in enhancing the business potential of the Arab world. The channel will provide up-to-the-minute updates on the regional stock markets, in addition to in-depth financial analysis.

The presence of correspondents around the world will ensure that significant international news and events will be covered by the channel. Moreover, the channel will also air certain international programmes that complement its broad content theme, making it the first channel to air these programmes in the Middle East.

Afif Mahmoud, CEO, Decision Makers, said, “The overriding goal of Decision Makers is to highlight the contribution of Arab leaders and business people to the overall growth and prosperity of the Arab world. The programming content is designed in such a way as to achieve a proper mix of business stories, news and analysis, with a regional and international perspective.”

“As the name of the channel suggests, most of the programmes are targeted at Arab decision makers. Programmes on various aspects of the region’s real estate industry, finance sector and the stock market will comprise a significant part of the content,” he added.

Decision Makers has its own fully equipped studio in Dubai Media City, which not only facilitates the channel to produce high quality programmes, but also allows other TV stations and international media and film establishments to use these facilities to produce a wide range of programmes, including movies.

“Our studios are among the finest in the region, with the most sophisticated equipments and facilities. We have also tied-up with several well-known individuals from the media industry to further enhance our offering,” concluded Mahmoud.
