NBK wraps third session of Summer Internship Program

National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) successfully concluded the third session of its specially designed 2011 Summer Internship Program. The program includes two weeks of custom-made courses geared toward introducing high school and college students, aged 15 to 20 years old, to a professional banking environment.

NBK Public Relations Office Talal Al Turki honored the interns and explained to them the basics of working in the banking sector.

One of the highlights of the internship included a field trip to The Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (the Arab Fund). Civil Engineer at the Arab Fund Fawaz Al Haj has received and welcomed the interns.

Al Haj said that this visit reflects the mutual cooperation between NBK & the Arab Fund. Al Haj spoke to the interns about the Arab Fund's activities which are characterized by a number of important aspects that make it a model of cooperation and Arab economic integration, and a reflection of outstanding joint Arab action.

“NBK’s Summer Internship Program is an extension of our educational outreach services,” said Al Turki. “NBK has a long standing commitment to the development of Kuwait’s youth and this program demonstrates our dedication to providing appropriate opportunities for youth to gain hands on work experience”, Al Turki added.
