NBK launches third session of 2011 Summer Internship Program

National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) has launched yesterday (Sunday) the third session of its 2011 Summer Internship Program. The custom-made program consists of two-week courses specially designed for high school & college students aged between 15 and 20 years.

NBK Public Relations Manager, Abdulmohsen Alrushaid said that NBK views the Summer Internship Program as an extension of NBK's education outreach services. The program demonstrates NBK’s long-standing social involvement as well as its commitment to providing the younger generation with appropriate opportunities to experience firsthand how actual professional banking occurs.

Alrushaid added that the 5-hour daily sessions feature a mixture of theoretical and practical training dedicated to providing interns with invaluable knowledge on a variety of subjects including: team work, creative thinking, means of self expression and modern banking procedures, in addition to giving interns greater exposure to daily banking practices and procedures.

NBK regularly organizes and designs events for Kuwait’s youth to improve their skills and familiarize them with banking and finance.
