NBF expands presence with Al Ain branch

The National Bank of Fujairah (NBF) announces the launch of its Al Ain branch, its first in the city. The 8,000 sq ft branch will increase the Bank’s branch network across the UAE to 13 locations and enhance the Bank’s ability to provide fast, personalised banking solutions to businesses and retail customers in the Al Ain area. 

The branch will support Al Ain’s emergence as a commercial hub by bringing NBF’s expertise to companies in industries ranging from services and manufacturing, construction to import and export. It will also offer retail banking services to a population that, as projected by the Abu Dhabi Planning Council in its Al Ain 2030 blueprint, is expected to grow to about 500,000 in the next three years.  

H.H. Sheikh Saleh Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Chairman of NBF, says that the branch underscores the Bank’s long-term strategy of becoming a leading presence in the UAE: “We are pleased to broaden our presence to include Al Ain, from which we will be able to serve customers better and provide greater support to the local economy. Such investments in infrastructure will continue to remain a feature of the Bank’s strategy of focusing on core businesses in corporate and commercial banking, trade finance and treasury services across the UAE.”

Vince Cook, NBF Chief Executive, says the new branch is the latest in a series of ongoing improvements to the Bank’s branch network, which included recent refurbishments of its Fujairah and Sharjah branches. “We look forward to playing a more prominent part in Al Ain’s development as a destination for trade and industry with this new branch. It will also complement NBF’s existing locations in Abu Dhabi and Mussafah and provide greater service coverage to clients in the area.”     

Sharif Mohamed Rafei, NBF’s Head of Retail Banking and Fujairah region, says that the branch stands ready to serve the city’s growing number of residents: “Al Ain is the fourth largest city in the UAE, with one of the strongest concentrations of Nationals in the country.

“Their numbers will grow as the city develops, and our Al Ain branch will serve as a modern and convenient location to meet their financial needs.”
