Motorola Mobility announces exclusive agreement with Axiom Telecom to distribute Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi

Motorola Mobility, Inc. today announced the appointment of Axiom Telecom as a distributor for the new Motorola XOOM with Wi-Fi edition exclusively across the GCC region, landing the highly anticipated device at Axiom stores and other key retailers on May 6th, 2011.
This partnership will see Axiom Telecom bring the 10.1-inch Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi tablet with Android 3.0 Honeycomb to all Axiom stores across the region. Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi will retail in the GCC from AED2,699.

Motorola XOOM showcases the innovations of the Honeycomb user experience – including widgets, true multi-tasking, browsing, notifications and customisation – on a 10.1-inch widescreen HD display, enabling video content that’s richer and clearer than ever before.
With a dual-core processor and 1 GB of RAM, Motorola XOOM delivers exceptionally fast web-browsing performance. The latest Google Mobile services include Google Maps 5.0 with 3D interaction and a user menu that is fully Arabized for the Middle Eastern consumer. Motorola XOOM also supports Adobe Flash Player 10.2 beta downloadable from Android Market, enabling the delivery of rich Flash based web content including videos, casual games and rich Internet applications.
