More than 8 Rotana hotels participated in the can collection drive run by the Emirates Environmental Group

Eco Friendly Hotels under Rotana Hotel Management Corporation in Dubai and Northern Emirates contributed to the “Can collection” campaign, which was organized by the Emirates Environmental Group (EEG), UAE's leading environmental organization.
“This initiative is a result of Rotana’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and our ongoing efforts to promote general awareness amongst our employees, in regards to the various effective methods to help serve the community and environment” said Dr. Olga Kampaxi, Area Director of Human Resource in the UAE.
The participated hotels from Dubai and Northern Emirates have collected the used cans for the last week and they have managed to collect 75Kg of them, they were handed over on Saturday to the Emirates Environmental Group stand at Zabeel Park in Dubai. Needless to mention that EEG hopes to collect 23,000Kg of Aluminum cans this year. Since September 2007 more than 140,000Kg have been recycled.
“This is one of a few projects that will certainly assist in strengthening the value and sense of responsibility towards practices that assure safer, cleaner and “greener” environment for generations to come” concluded Dr. Olga Kampaxi.
