Microsoft hosts Windows 7 customer workshop in Qatar

Microsoft Qatar, located at Qatar Science & Technology Park, today announced that it had held a customer workshop for enterprises in Doha to help facilitate the deployment of Windows 7 Enterprise edition across their IT environment. The workshop was designed in line with Microsoft’s commitment to help customers maximize the return on their investment in Microsoft products and technologies, in addition to helping them move forward with IT initiatives that deliver the most business value.

During the workshop, IT professionals from more than 20 enterprises across Qatar got insights into proven processes and techniques to successfully migrate their desktop environment to Windows 7. This included information on how organizations could leverage Microsoft's free deployment tools like Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT). The workshop also tackled organizational challenges like application compatibility which was a key area of interest for attendees. With the help of free tools like Application Compatibility Toolkit (ACT) from Microsoft, customers were advised on the steps they could take to prevent potential problems with legacy applications.
