A gunman on a motorbike opened fire on Yemeni demonstrators in the coastal town of Hudeida Wednesday, killing one. Eyewitnesses said the gunman rode to the edge of the square where protesters are camped and started shooting.  Several other people were injured in the attack.

Also Wednesday, a policeman was shot dead during clashes with protesters in the southern city of Aden, reports said.

More than 120 people have been killed since anti-regime protests began in January.

On Tuesday, the United Nations Security Council failed to agree on a statement calling on the parties in Yemen to "exercise restraint and enter a dialogue."
