Local sources said at lear one Yemeni protester was killed and others were injured when Yemeni government security forces tried to disperse a demonstration in the south Yemen governorate of Aden. The demonstrators called for the regime fall.

The sources said that Mohammed al-Alwani was killed in the hands of security men, while 10 others were injured, one seriously. Among the wounded were children after security agents threw tear gas canisters at their house.

The father of the victim refused to receive the body of his son until "those responsible will be held accountable." The body was transferred to the Republican Hospital. The demonstrators blamed the security director of Aden, Abdullah Kiran and the Secretary General of the local council, Amin Shaif for the violence. Eyewitnesses said security forces used live bullets.

The demonstrators, the majority of whom are young, chanted slogans calling to fight against corruption and the departure of the regime. Witnesses said the protesters set fire to at least four government vehicles.
