Saudi Arabia has repeatedly urged Washington to attack Iran in a bid to stop it developing nuclear weapons, confidential American documents revealed on Sunday.The revelation is among thousands of US documents that were due to be published by whistleblower website WikiLeaks, which had said it is under cyber attack.
Newspapers working in partnership with the site have started releasing details of the disclosures of messages sent by US diplomats across the globe.
They show leaders in Saudi Arabia insisted an attack on Iran was necessary to "cut the head off the snake" of its nuclear works.
