At least three people were killed and dozens of others were wounded in Libya during the recent demonstrations calling for regime change. The violence took place in the City of Baida in eastern Libya. Meanwhile, students demonstrated in Fattaih area, east of Derna in solidarity with the demonstrations in Benghazi on Tuesday, which wounded 38 people.
Eyewitness said they saw three dead in Baida, adding that police forces fired live bullets on protesters on Wednesday evening after they surrounded the internal security headquarters in the city .An eyewitness said that clashes between police and demonstrators broke out after the demonstrators set a police stations on fire. He said police used live bullets to disperse the demonstrators.
In the meantime, students demonstrated on Wednesday at Omar Al-Mukhtar" University branch in Fattaih area to express solidarity with the demonstrations in Benghazi on Tuesday. The demonstrators chanted slogans against the regime and the security forces.
The news comes as opposition demonstrations called for their activists via social networking sites to take to the streets on Thursday, calling it a "Day Of Anger."
