News reports said over 30 people were killed and more than 200 injured Friday after security forces used live bullets against protesters in the central of Sana'a's Change Square. Thousands of Yemenis gathered in the square to demand the ouster of the regime.

Reports said snipers on rooftops fired at the protesters.

Witnesses said that the "loyalists of the regime opened fire from the roofs of several buildings in Sanaa on demonstrators who were demanding to bring down the regime.

For his part, said Tariq Doais a doctor in the field hospital at the Square that there are at least 11 dead, including a child, and more than 40 people were seriously wounded by gunfire. He accused the Yemeni security forces of having an intent to kill the protestors.
