Iraq: 11 killed in attacks

A source at the Iraqi Interior Ministry on Thursday said 11 people, including seven Iraqi soldiers, were killed and 14 others were wounded in attacks in Baghdad. The source said that "unidentified gunmen killed three Iraqi soldiers, burned their bodies and a militay vehicle in Adhamiya," which in located northern Baghdad.

In another incident, a roadside bomb exploded as a military patrol passed, killing three soldiers and wounding four others near Fallujah, north of Baghdad.

Meanwhile, sources in the Iraqi army and police were quoted as saying that a suicide car bomber targeting an Iraqi army base, killed three soldiers and wounded eight in Shirqat, some 300 km north of Baghdad.

In Mosul, police said a bomb exploded outside the house of an Iraqi soldier, wounding his wife.
