Egypt's prominent opposition figure Mohamed ElBaradei on Tuesday suggested a transitional solution for the ongoing crisis in the country. He suggested the formation of a presidential council composed of three members and a government of technocrats to manage the state.
ElBaradei said in an interview on Tuesday he supports the "safe exit" of Hosni Mubarak from Egypt.
"We do not want to look back and let bygones be bygones," suggesting the opposition will not seek to put Mubarak on trial.
ElBaradei's comments came after the "National Committee to Achieve the Demands of the People," said in a statement that it "will not enter into negotiations (with State) before the president leaves his position." Mohamed ElBaradei as well as representatives of the main opposition forces, including the Muslim Brotherhood, are part of this Committee.
