A suicide car bomb attack on Monday morning was targeting Al Arabiya TV offices in central Baghdad. At least three people were killed and 16 wounded, according to a source in the Interior Ministry. A source at Al Arabiya told AFP: "Our offices were damaged and there is a huge hole in the entrance. The victims included a security guard and an employee in the office. The third victim had not been identified."
The the Saudi owned channel closed its offices in Baghdad on June 25 after receiving threats of an imminent attack. A source at the channel said Interior Ministry officials conveyed information relating to a terrorist group which was closely watching the office on the Harithiyah area in western Baghdad in preparation for an attack.
