Palestinian Authority chief Mahmoud Abbas, said on Monday that the documents leaked by Al-Jazeera are mixing between the Israeli proposals and Palestinian positions which were raised during the peace talks. He added in a press conference held at the headquarters of the Egyptian presidency, after meeting with the Egyptian president Mohammed Hosni Mubarak: "We have no secrets to hide. We are updating all the Arab countries regarding the negotiations."
Abbas added: "I do not know where it came from. There is nothing to hide from our Arab brothers. "
Earlier, a Palestinian Authority official accused Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, the Emir of Qatar of launching a campaign against the Authority through "Al Jazeera". The Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization Yasser Abed Rabbo said: "Al Jazeera" is waging a political campaign against the Palestinian Authority in an attempt to distort its position and damage the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. This happens in conjunction with the campaign waged by the Israeli government led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman."
