The video of Hungarian camerawoman Petra Laszlo kicking and tripping fleeing refugees has caused another global outrage, but hers is not the first offense caught on camera.
A news report emerged Wednesday purporting to show a chaos unfolding in Greek island of Lesbos, where thousands of refugees have landed after the perilous sea journey to Europe. The video showed crowds of bloodied men running through the streets and antsy residents frantically upset about the violence they say is unfolding outside their homes as Afghan asylum seekers clash with Syrians.
The video was also backed by a report by the AFP earlier this week.
Lesbos' immigration minister told the news agency on Monday the island was on the verge of collapse under the pressure of some 15,000 mainly Syrian refugees. Violent clashes erupted between refugees as groups massed on the beach waiting to load onto boats to carry them off the island.
Just like Petra Laszlo's video, this clip shows the sheer chaos unfolding in Europe right now, as the world is confronted with the biggest refugee crisis since WWII. And it doesn't seem to be getting better.
The clip has been taken off YouTube, but you can watch it here.
