If you fancy dropping everything and going to fight Daesh or al-Qaeda, then there is a Texas-based company that might be willing to help. If you can find a way of legally bringing it over to the Middle East, that is.

TrackingPoint, an applied technology firm, has announced that it will give away ten of their latest rifles to any US organization which can legally bring them to the battlefield. The guns are said to be a revolutionary step forward in firearm technology, with the company announcing that they are designed to “change the face of war."

“We firmly believe that the M600 SR and M800 DMR will save countless lives and enable our soldiers to dominate enemy combatants, including terrorists,” said TrackingPoint CEO John McHale.

Scores of Americans and Europeans are thought to be fighting against Daesh alongside Kurdish Peshmerga forces and Christian militias. An August report by Bellingcat showed some 100 Americans are in Iraq and Syria fighting against Daesh, along with fighters representing 21 other Western countries.

Many say they're disgusted by the horrific acts perpetrated by Daesh and feel obliged to contribute to the fight against them.

“It’s hard to sit back and watch what is happening over there. We want to do our part,” McHale said. “Those ten guns will feel like two hundred to the enemy.”

The company also announced that Taya Kyle, widow of the ‘American Sniper’ Chris Kyle, will be using the two rifles during a sniper shooting competition in Texas in December.
