Syria's Raqqa was hit on Tuesday by multiple Russian airstrikes. And while Russia claims to have successfully struck Daesh (ISIS) targets, civilians on the ground tell a different story.
Reports on social media and Liveuamap said there were 25 airstrikes that hit the province, most of them targeting a bridge. Other air raids struck hospitals, schools and neighborhoods. Some say there were a number of casualties, though the figure is unclear.

While Raqqa is Daesh's de facto capital in Syria, activist group Raqqa Is Being Slaughtered Silently says the air raids didn't hit Daesh but targeted heavily populated areas with civilians.
