Latest Real Clear Politics poll averages have Democratic US presidential nominee Hillary Clinton leading her Republican opponent Donald Trump by 7 points, although some alternative polls are more favorable to Trump. And now a rebel Republican dissatisfied with his party’s nominee and Clinton is entering the race.
Evan McMullin announced his candidacy for president Monday, multiple outlets are reporting. Not much is known about him or his views, but he is a Republican, a former counter-terrorism analyst at the CIA and has also worked on Wall Street for Goldman Sachs.
However, McMullin has already missed the deadline to register in several states, and is only eligible to register in 24. His impact-if any-may be limited as a result.
