Israel carried out four airstrikes inside the Gaza Strip after a rocket landed inside their territory last week, accusing Hamas and Islamic Jihad of breaking the ceasefire that's held peace in place there since last summer's devastating war.
The rocket in question rockets hit the town of Gan Yavne, reportedly causing no casualties. Hamas and Islamic Jihad, meanwhile, say Israeli territory was not an intended target for the rocket, which they say was one of several experimental firings being launched into the sea for testing.
Now, a Daesh-affiliated group inside Gaza is also claiming responsibility for the rocket, according to an International Business Times report.
Last week's events marked the second time Israel has shelled targets inside Gaza in response to rockets since the beginning of the year, but it's far from the first time the ceasefire agreement’s been broken by Israeli forces.
This chart comes from media monitoring site Middle East Monitor, with information gathered from media, UN and NGO reports. By it's count, during the first three months of 2015 alone, Israeli forces launched six military incursions and six other shooting attacks on Gaza. Check it out below. (Via Twitter)
