Some of us may have been wondering what British actor Michael Enright is really like on the battlefield. Well, this YPG fighter's rant on Facebook doesn't paint him in a very good light.
Earlier this year the former actor left Hollywood to join Kurdish forces in their fight against Daesh (ISIS). He set sail for Syria and became a member of the Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG). Since then Enright's been very vocal about his newfound commitment, even appearing in a TV interview.
But from the sounds of it, the units did not exactly welcome him with open arms.
American Jordan Matson, a former US soldier who joined the YPG, called Enright "the biggest pos," "mentally unstable," a manipulator and a liar. Matson's claim that Enright may become "the first US death in Syria" by colleagues who wanted to kill him was less a threat and more a desperate plea to remove him.
Maybe Enright should just stick to the big screen.
