ALBAWABA In preparation for the upcoming holy month of Ramadan, the Supreme Court of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has urged Muslim residents to observe the sighting of the crescent moon on the evening of March 10, corresponding to Shaban 29 on the Islamic calendar, according to reports from Saudi media.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has officially designated Sunday, March 10, as the date for the sighting of the Ramadan moon, coinciding with the final day of the month of Shaban.

The court has emphasized the importance of the sighting of the crescent moon, calling upon individuals who observe it with the naked eye or through binoculars to promptly inform the nearest court and register their testimony.

Additionally, they are encouraged to reach out to the nearest center for assistance in reporting their observation to the relevant authorities.

The sighting of the crescent moon holds significant importance in Islam as it signifies the imminent arrival of Ramadan, the holiest month in the Islamic calendar.

While the date of the crescent moon sighting can be predicted through astronomical calculations, its visual confirmation remains a traditional practice observed by Muslims worldwide.
