7 Tips to prepare for the first day of school

ALBAWABA The first days of school can be both exciting and nerve-wracking for children and parents alike. Whether your child is starting kindergarten or heading back to higher grades, preparation is key to ensuring a smooth and successful transition. 

Here are seven tips to help you and your child get ready for those important first days of school.

1. Establish a Consistent Sleep Routine

A good night's sleep is essential for your child’s ability to focus and learn. Start adjusting their sleep schedule at least a week before school starts to ensure they’re well-rested.

  • Gradual Adjustment: If your child has been staying up late during the summer, gradually shift bedtime earlier by 15 minutes each night until you reach the desired time.
  • Create a Relaxing Bedtime Routine: Incorporate calming activities like reading or taking a warm bath to help them wind down before bed.

2. Get Organized with School Supplies

Having the right supplies ready will help your child feel prepared and confident on their first day.
