Lexus top rank in J.D. Power’s Initial Quality Study

Lexus ranked highest in the 2011 J.D. Power and Associates Initial Quality Study (IQS) recently released in the US, outperforming all the other auto brands, and greatly differentiating Lexus from its competitors.

J.D. Power conducted its 2011 Initial Quality Study choosing the luxury automaker according to the feedback of more than 73 buyers and lessee of 2011 model cars, after their 90 days of use. The study revealed that Lexus was the only vehicle with the least amount of problems, with 73 problems per 100 vehicles (PP100). The industry average is 107 problems per 100 vehicles.

Nadim Haddad, Marketing Manager of Central Trade and Auto Co. (CTA), said: “Lexus truly maintained its stellar reputation in this study, achieving the highest ranking for the 13th year running. We are proud to be associated with the Lexus brand.”

According to J.D. Power’s study, Lexus received 2011 Initial Quality Study awards for four of the study’s categories. These include the Lexus GX for Midsize Premium Crossover/SUV; the Lexus LS for Large Premium Car; and the Lexus GS and ES, both of which rank highest in their respective categories for the third year in a row.

Last May, Lexus ranked No. 1 in the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI), scoring highest in the overall customer experience at the dealership and outperforming all the other auto brands.
