In the midst of the Libyan revolution that is currently taking place to overthrow the government of President Muammar Gaddafi and with the its nearing success, a group of members on the internet social website Facebook have posted a photograph for Egyptian singer Tamer Husni standing and smiling in front of a photo of Gaddafi.

Comments were made by members criticizing Tamer’s political views that according to them were in support of the former Egyptian government of Husni Mubarak and assumptions are made that Tamer also supports the dictatorship of Gaddafi.

According to the London based Elaph, none of the comments made criticized Tamer’s persona or his music, but only criticized his incorrect political views.

The picture of Tamer was taken last year when he took part in private concert in Libya. Tamer had received a special invitation from Gaddafi and he had accepted. During his presence in Libya, Tamer was presented with the traditional Libyan costume from Ghadhafi, which the singer at the time was honored to receive.
