Syrian actress Sulaf Fawakhirji has announced that she fully supports Syrian President. The actress stressed that not even in a hundred years she would not change her mind
At the same time, Sulaf admitted that there is corruption in the current political system, but assured that she will vote for President Bashar Al Asad if he intends to run for another term in office.
According to the Egyptian magazine Al Kawakib, Sulaf stated that she knows there must be political reformation due to the existing corruption, but Bashar Al Asad according to her is a good man and she despises everyone who tries to blemish his image and make look like a tyrant.
She added that the president is a simple down to earth man that you may run into walking in the streets of Syria or at a restaurant where he may go to eat with his family. Sulaf noted that over 11 million Syrians went out in the streets in marches to show their devotion and support for the president, which is a sign that he is a good president.
Sulfa had recently joined a number of Syrian artists at a special meeting with President Al Asad to talk about the current situation in Syria and development projects that will take place in addition to the political reform he is working on.
Sulaf’s comments come amidst the current chaotic conditions Syria is witnessing with protests around the country demanding the resignation of the government of President Bashar Al Asad.
