Medical sources have revealed that Egyptian folk singer Saed Al Sughair is suffering from the illness bilharzia, also known as Schistosomiasis, and this illness was behind his recent internal bleeding and health deterioration.
According to the London based Elaph, doctors also added that the illness has begun spreading in the singer’s colon and liver, but is still in its in initial stages and can be contained. It was noted that this is the same illness that took the life of the late Egyptian legendary singer Abd Al Halim Hafez, but Saed’s condition is not as severe that his life is at stake.
The sources stressed that the singer’s condition is not stable and improving as was said in the press, but rather his treatment will be prolonged and he will need to undergo therapy in Germany.
