Egyptian folk singer Saed Al Sagheerr revealed that he strongly regrets his previous support of ousted Egyptian President Husni Mubarak and turning his back on the revolutionaries that were able to overthrow the government of Mubarak.
According to the internet website MBC.net, despite his previous feelings towards Mubarak, Saed stressed that he supports putting Mubarak on trial and making him pay for all the corruption he caused in his thirty years of presidency. He stressed that Mubarak should be treated as any other Egyptian citizen who breaks the law.
Saed stated that when he supported Mubarak during the revolution he did not know the amount of corruption that existed in Egypt because of him and had misunderstood the goals of the revolution. He added when his friends informed him of what was taking place in Egypt’s Tahrir Square, which is where the protests were concentrated, he regretted not joining them.
