Egyptian controversial singer Ruby has given her initial acceptance to star in the new film titled “Muka’abat” (Squares). The film will be directed by Hamat Fahmi in her first cinema direction experience and actor Khaled Saleh has been nominated to star alongside Ruby.
Ruby will play the role of a wife who suffers from psychological problems and feels that everyone around her wants to kill her. This fear leads her to murder all her husband’s friends in one night after inviting the over for dinner.
The singer has also gave her acceptance to star alongside actor Ahmad Al Fishawi in the film “Al Mastool wa Al Qunbilah” (The crazed and the bomb), which is scheduled for filming of the scenes immediately after the first Muslim holiday Eid El Fitr. The movie is based on a novel by the late novelist Najeeb Mahfouz and will be directed by Mohammad Khan.
