Prominent internationally known Egyptian actor Omar El Shareef has filmed a commercial for the soda drink company Coca Cola. The singer received a wage of 800 thousand US dollars for the commercial that was filmed in a period of half a day.
Coca Cola is holding a big campaign to promote its products by including a large number of stars from around the Arab world. Until now, Saudi soccer player Yaser Al Qahtani and Omar El Shareef have filmed commercials for the company.
The commercials for Coca Cola are concentrated on the stars saying the expression ‘Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr’ while drinking Coca Cola. The idea of the commercial has led to harsh criticism against El Shareef due to the fact that saying such expressions is considered degrading to his prestigious career and age.
