Fans of Lebanese singer Nawal Al Zoughbi have nominated Lebanese director Laila Kan’aan to direct her new music video. The singer had requested of her fans on the internet website Facebook to nominate which director they thought was most fit to direct her next music video.

Kan’aan received the highest number of votes among Nawal’s fans, where directors Saeed Al Marooq and director Randa Alam came in second. In third place was Lebanese singer/director Jad Shawair followed by Caroline Libky.

In the poll, Nawal did not state the name of the song she intends to film only implying that it will be from her upcoming album that features 11 songs. Six of the songs are sung in the Egyptian dialect, four in the Lebanese and one in the Khaliji (gulf) dialect.

Requesting the help of her fans in choosing a director is a first time a singer makes such a request showing that she respects her fans and their opinion.
