An Egyptian court has decided to stop a lawsuit submitted by Hamadah Ismael, former business manager of Lebanese singer Haifa Wahbi, against Haifa accusing her of slander. The decision to stop the lawsuit against Haifa came as a result of another lawsuit against Hamadah filed by Haifa accusing him of stealing the words of one of her songs and selling it to Lebanese singer Rola Saed.
Haifa claimed that when Hamadah was working for him she had given him power of attorney and transferred the sum of 78 thousand US dollars to buy the legal rights for a number of songs, but he had taken advantage of her trust and sold some of the songs to her rival Rola Saed.
The verdict in the lawsuit submitted by Haifa is yet to be determined.
