Iraqi singer Kathem El Saher has revealed that he is preparing for a new patriotic song titled “Haq Al Sha’eb” (Rights of the people) in support of the revolutions taking place in different Arab countries. Kathem denied rumors that he was against the revolutions of the people against their governments, but was against the chaos that led to the loss of lives and the looting.
According to the internet website MBC.net, Kathem said that he has been working on the song for over a month and it is more like an operetta and is dedicated to all the people around the Arab world supporting their calls for democracy and freedom.
The song is written by Iraqi poet Kareem Al Iraqi and was recorded in studios in the UAE. The song will be launched on different music satellite channels in the upcoming week. Kathem said that he took his time in preparing the song to ensure that it meets the high standards of the revolutions and touches the hearts of people everywhere.
