Prominent Lebanese singer Haifa Wahbi had confessed on the weekly program “Ibshir”, which is aired on the satellite channel MBC and hosted by Lebanese host Nishan, that at times the thought of suicide crosses her mind. Haifa stated that fame has its ups and downs and can lead a person to utter despair and loss of confidence.

On the show, Nishan had dedicated a musical piece to Haifa that was sung by three different singers, whom all had ended their lives by committing suicide. These singers are Suad Husni, Marline Monroe and Dalida. Haifa revealed that she fears this will be fate, because her life and career resembles that of the late singers.

Nishan was able to fulfill three wishes for Haifa on the show, especially taking part in an international project. The wish was fulfilled by the singer receiving a phone call from Zyad Kabi, manager of Sony Middle East, who had announced that the company intends on producing a grand drama project that will star Haifa.

Haifa revealed on the show that she will be starring in a new television drama to be aired in the Ramadan season of 2011 and her character’s name will be “Nusah”.
