All preparations for the new Egyptian television drama “Nousah”, which was to star Lebanese singer Haifa Wahbi, has been halted after the scenarist Tareq Badawi announced that the project has been postponed to an undetermined time.
The postponing of the drama that was to mark Haifa’s first television drama is due to the fact that the owner of the production company of the drama is the son of one of the backbones of the former Egyptian president Husni Mubarak, who was overthrown in the recent Egyptian people’s revolution.
In addition the production company was depending on the ties of Safwat’s son in promoting the drama to the Egyptian television station and other television stations in order to make profits and cover all the expenses spent on making the drama.
