Prominent Syrian singer George Wassouf strongly denied rumors that he held a private performance for former Tunisian President Zain Al Abdeen Bin Ali.
George also denied rumors that he had given rise to friction between Lebanese singers Najwa Karam and Milhim Zein during an interview he held with journalist Jumana Abu Eid on the Lebanese satellite channel ‘Future’. George stressed that all comments he made were done jokingly and respects both singers.
With regards to rumors about the existence of disputes between him and the production company ‘Rotana’, George stressed that all that has been said is not true and he and the general manager of ‘Rotana’, Salem Al Hindi, are very close friends.
The singer has expressed his honor at being invited to take part in the Qatari festival “Rabee Souq Waqif” and stated that his performance will mark his return to holding concerts in festivals, which he has not done for several years.
George revealed that he will be releasing his upcoming album by the end of the spring season.
