Lebanese singer Fadel Shaker took part in a demonstration in the heart of Beirut organized by a group of Islamist demanding the resignation of Syrian President Bashar Al Asad and an end to the bloodshed of the Syrian people at the hands of the Syrian army and government.
Fadel had stressed that his singing career is nothing in comparison to the cause he was protesting for. Fadel told journalists covering the event that he came specifically to the location of the demonstration to show his support to the Syria people and considers it an honor to be in such a protest against Al Asad.
According to the internet website MBC.net, during the protest, Fadel recited a number of patriotic songs and religious songs. Fadel stressed that every artists should make a contribution in making his voice heard and stand to what they believe in.
