A Lebanese court has postponed the trial date for Lebanese singer Carol Samaha’s hearing in the lawsuit filed against her by Nicola Sa’adah, who is Carol’s former business manager and producer of her albums. The court decided to postpone the hearing to April 9 and until Carol returns from Egypt.
According to the London based Elaph, Nicola, who is also the owner of the production company ‘Tarab’, had sued Carol to protect his propriety rights of the songs of her latest album “Adwa’ Al Shurah” (In the Spotlight of Fame), which he produced and distributed. Nicola claimed that Carol had used one of the songs of the album in a television commercial for a soda company without his knowledge and taking his permission.
On a different note, Carol has released a remix of the song “Qaloli Al Eid” a second song by the late singer Salwa Al Qatreeb. The music video for the song will be released in the near future. The song is part of a new album Carol intends on releasing and is comprised of remixes of old hits by some of the most prominent singers. The album is titled “Ayam Zaman” (The old days).
Carol has resumed filming of the scenes for her upcoming television drama “Al Shahroora” that is about the life journey of Lebanese diva Sabah.
