Libyan prominent musician Hameed Al Sha’eri considers the presence of Libyan President Muamar Gaddafi in the political scene a disgrace to Libya and all Arabs.

According to the Middle East daily, Al Sharq Al Awsat, Hameed stated that all the speeches Gaddafi is making with regards to the current situation in Libya with the people’s revolution to overthrow the government is mere mockery and gives a bad image of Arabs.

Hameed revealed that he attempted to travel to Libya to take part in the protests taking place but all attempts failed. He added that he took part in the protests held in Egypt supporting the Libyan people’s revolution.

Hameed stressed the urgency of the interference of the international community in order to save the Libyan people and the lives that were lost are part of the cost of freedom. Hameed added that Al Gaddafi’s era has ended and his son, Saif Al Din, has no business to make speeches to the people.
