A number of active members on the social network Facebook have launched a harsh campaign against to stop the third part of his film “Amr and Salma”. The campaign began as a result of people resenting the manner in which Tamer used to promote his film in order to be able to have it screened during the summer, in addition to Tamer’s stance during the Egyptian January 25 Revolution, which overthrew the government of ousted President Husni Mubarak. It is claimed that Tamer was not in full support of the revolution and only at the end of it he had changed his mind and gave unbelievable excuses to why he was not in support.
A number of pages were created on Facebook campaigning to boycott the film with slogans saying, “Together against Amr and Salma 3, enough”, “We don’t want Amr and Salma 3…Enough two parts Tamer” and “Wait wait we will force Tamer to stay home” and many more.
In addition, a number of internet news sites posted that it also resented Tamer’s manner in promoting the movie and trying to get the sympathy of people and the press to have it screened during the summer season. It is said that the official site for the film held a poll regarding when to screen the film and most of the replies was to have it in theaters during the summer.
