Prominent Syrian singer Asalah Nasri has resumed activity after the ban on her has been lifted in Egypt. Asala revealed that she is working on a new song, which will be her special dedication to all the Egyptian people who took part in the recent Revolution of January 25 that overthrew the government of former Egyptian President Husni Mubarak.

The new directors committee of the Egyptian Musician Association has decided to lift all the bans on Arab singers placed by the former head of the union Muneer Al Wasmi. The list of singers included Asalah and Lebanese singer Rula Saed.

Asalah stated that the news had given her great joy after a period of despair she was living over the ban. The singer said that the word ban was very hurtful for her and she is glad that the true face of Al Wasmi, who is currently being prosecuted for acts of corruption, has been revealed to the world to show the injustice that she and many others experienced.
